Snapdeal’s Rajasthan Seller Base Nearly Doubles in a Year
Jaipur, 13 July 2026: Value-focused e-commerce marketplace Snapdeal has launched Project Gati, a 45-day acceleration programme aimed at helping newly onboarded sellers prepare for the upcoming festive shopping season through AI-enabled tools, operational support and faster payment cycles.
The announcement comes as Snapdeal’s seller base in Rajasthan has nearly doubled over the past year, underscoring the growing participation of regional manufacturers and entrepreneurs in India’s e-commerce ecosystem. The state’s diverse manufacturing and sourcing ecosystem contributes to a wide range of products available on the marketplace, with Jaipur being a key hub for women’s ethnic wear, block-printed products, jewellery, home décor, blue pottery, bedsheets, quilts and handbags.
Other manufacturing centres across Rajasthan also contribute distinct product categories. Bhilwara is a key sourcing hub for men’s trousers, formal pants, fabrics and suiting materials; Other centres include Pali for cotton fabrics, bedsheets, printed fabrics and home textiles; and Tonk for leather goods, mojaris and embroidered products.
The festive shopping season kicks off in August with Rakshabandhan and Independence Day and continues through Diwali, Christmas and New Year. In the lead-up, Snapdeal will train sellers on using technology for e-commerce operations to boost operational efficiency. As part of its efforts to strengthen its seller ecosystem, Snapdeal has launched Project Gati, a dedicated 45-day acceleration programme designed to help new sellers establish and grow their businesses on the platform.
Under Project Gati, participating sellers will receive five key benefits:
- Advertising Credits on Top of Zero Commission: Free advertising credits to improve product visibility and help sellers generate initial orders, while benefiting from Snapdeal’s zero commission marketplace model.
- Faster Payment Cycles: Shorter payment cycles to improve working capital availability, enable quicker inventory replenishment and help sellers reinvest in their businesses.
- AI-led Cataloguing Support: Support to create high-quality, detailed product catalogues enabled by AI to improve product discovery and help customers make informed purchase decisions.
- Trend and Marketplace Insights: Access to insights on emerging fashion trends, consumer preferences, popular product attributes, price points and demand patterns to help sellers build relevant assortments.
- Priority Support: Dedicated support during the first 45 days to help new sellers navigate marketplace operations, resolve issues quickly and establish their businesses on the platform.
Sellers on Snapdeal also benefit from the platform’s zero commission model, which lets them retain a greater share of the value generated from their sales to reinvest in growing their businesses.
Commenting on the initiative, Achint Setia, CEO, Snapdeal, said, “Rajasthan has a strong entrepreneurial and manufacturing ecosystem, with sellers across Jaipur, Bhilwara, Pali and Tonk building businesses across fashion, textiles, home products and other categories. The close to 100% growth in sellers from Rajasthan over the last year reflects the growing participation of regional businesses in e-commerce. Through Project Gati, we want to give new sellers focused support during their initial weeks on Snapdeal, helping them build relevant assortments, improve product discovery, generate early momentum and reach value-conscious consumers across India.”
Snapdeal follows a selective approach to seller onboarding, with a focus on building a high-quality and engaged seller ecosystem. The growth of sellers from Rajasthan reflects Snapdeal’s focus on expanding its seller ecosystem across India’s regional manufacturing and sourcing hubs and enabling local businesses to reach value-savvy consumers across the country.
