Ambuja Cements successfully concludes Public Hearing for Environmental Clearance of the proposed Limestone Mine

Nagaur, Rajasthan, 26th July 2024: Ambuja Cements, the cement and building material company of the diversified Adani Portfolio, has successfully concluded the Public Hearing regarding Environmental Clearance for its Proposed Limestone Mine at 3D2 Mining Block in Nagaur district, Rajasthan. Local communities from nearby villages of Harima and Sarasani in the district were present in large numbers and have wholeheartedly welcomed this development in their region.

The Public Hearing was held by the Rajasthan Pollution Control Board at the Government Higher Primary School in Harima village from 1 pm on July 24, 2024. The Company has shown its steadfast commitment towards the expectations put forth by villagers and their representatives. As a result, the villagers have reciprocated with their complete support for the development of the Proposed Limestone Mine and welcomed the Company with open arms.

Ambuja Cements, through CSR efforts, has been actively implementing multiple initiatives for water resource management, agriculture, women empowerment and others with the goal of facilitating sustainable livelihoods for the communities of the region. The Company and its subsidiary ACC already operates other plants at Marwar Mundwa, Lakheri and Rabriyawas here. The Proposed Limestone Mine at 3D2 Mining Block with a 3 MTPA limestone production capacity, featuring a 2,000 tonnes per hour crusher with wobbler, and covering an area of 434.08 hectares will augment its existing operations here.
