IIT Mandi Receives USD 11000+ Donation Aid to Establish the Satish and Kamlesh Agrawal Scholarship

May 03rd, 2025; Mandi: The Indian Institute of Technology Mandi (IIT Mandi) is proud to announce the receipt of a generous donation exceeding USD 11,000 from Satish Agrawal, a distinguished philanthropist based in the United States. This contribution is designated for the establishment of the Satish and Kamlesh Agrawal Scholarship in Houston, Texas, USA. The donation has been made in accordance with the terms outlined in the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed with the Institute.
The Scholarship aims to support meritorious B.Tech. students to strengthen IIT Mandi’s ongoing efforts to foster equity, accessibility, and academic excellence across its student community.
This meaningful gesture reflects Mr. Satish Agrawal and Ms. Kamlesh Agrawal’s unwavering commitment to the transformative power of education and their aspiration to empower future generations of scholars, innovators, and leaders.
On behalf of the Institute, Prof. Laxmidhar Behera, Director – IIT Mandi, and Prof. Varun Dutt, Dean of Resource Generation & Alumni Relations (DORA), expressed their heartfelt appreciation to the donors for this impactful contribution. They noted that such philanthropic support plays a vital role in building a vibrant academic and research ecosystem at IIT Mandi and ensures that financial constraints do not hinder a student’s journey towards excellence.
